Marbling is a technique used for decorating paper and other surfaces by floating acrylic paint on water and then gently placing a specially treated paper on the water to pull a print of the floating paint. Marbled paper has traditionally been used as endpaper in books and can also be used in any paper project requiring unique design. In this class participants will learn the basics of marbling and then create patterns and colors on as many sheets of paper as time allows. All the information will be given to continue marbling at home. Bring a lunch. Class size limited to 8 people. Check out some examples of Sandie’s marbled paper in our NCCA-Artsplace Artist Market.
