A bold and textural exhibit of fiber based artwork by contemporary artists Lois Carpenter, Sandy Dekker, Nancy Reagh Johnson and Olivia Johnson will be featured this Fall.
Sandy Dekker has been making quilted paintings and mixed media fiber pieces in the Fremont area for several years.
Lois Carpenter is a fiber artist working in wet felting, her art is inspired by nature’s colors and textures. Dividing her time between Michigan and Arizona gives her a diverse range of nature to absorb and translate into her art.
Nancy Reagh Johnson is an art quilt and spirit doll maker from the Muskegon area. She states, “I love fabric. I love the colors, the textures and putting different combinations together.”
Olivia Johnson is an artist from the Hart area working in needle felted wool. She creates 3D whimsical gnomes and critters along with bees, songbirds and seasonal ornaments. She has also expanded into needle felted paintings that combine depth, texture and alluring compositions.
