Elon Howe is a skilled craftsman who got his start as a WWII Bomber Mechanic. Elon Howe is also a building contractor, a violin and mandolin builder, a sawyer, a frequent Guild of American Luthiers convention exhibitor, and a founding member of the Michigan Violin Makers Association.

The stories he shares about how he learned his trade, musicians who have played his instruments, and the people who have influenced his life and his heart are a treasure in themselves.

This exhibit is a collection of stories, photographs, tools and instruments that define Elon’s Wood N Strings luthier studio. Be sure stop stop in during the reception on April 12, to meet this master craftsman and hear his stories.
