Lakeshore Visual Artists Collective is a non-profit organization that partners with other non-profits and businesses in West Michigan to facilitate Pop Up Art shows creating new networking opportunities for lakeshore area artists.
In the summer of 2012, founder Maggie Bandstra, was taking a class at Oxbow and the Professor Howard Fonda asked the class “Why aren’t you all curating your own shows?” So she looked around the art community and saw a need for artists to have opportunities to connect with each other and the community. From that idea sprang up a few art shows, in 2014 Art at the Armory, Art at Loutit, Art at SLCC, and Art at the Yard. It takes a village to produce these arts events, and when artists come together and share their time and talents amazing things happen. This collaborative exhibit showcases a selection of artists from LVAC in the Jansma Gallery at NCCA-Artsplace, 13 E. Main Street, Fremont. Learn more
