Steve Replogle: Inks

Replogle is a full time artist and craftsman, candle maker by trade. Over three decades he has been selling his candles at the Michigan Renaissance Fair as a means of supporting his “art habit”. During his travels back and forth from the fair, he photographed Michigan’s rural and farm landscapes. These photographs served as inspiration for his acrylic ink paintings, which are often very colorful and high contrast. Steve has had the discipline of painting or sketching a landscape at least one per day, often times more, and the pieces in this exhibit have been culled from the thousands he has created over the years.
