Saturday 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
May 16
Ages 16-Adult
In this class participants will learn a variety of techniques in watercolor including pouring, spattering, textural effects, masking, lifting, stamping and negative painting. A short review of color theory will begin the day. We will then work on several images with a spring theme during the day in order to allow drying time for each. Do not expect to take home a finished piece, but do expect to have fun, learn lots of techniques unique to watercolors, and be inspired to head off on your own watercolor adventure. We will be using watercolor paper and paints, spray bottles, sponges, plastic wrap, salt, masking fluid, toothbrushes, clear contact paper, exacto knives, and the occasional paint brush. Bring a lunch.
