Op Art Study Tues. April 15 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. Age 9-12 $15 How fun it is to use simple paper techniques that will result in a fool-the-eye optical illusion.
Anticipating Easter Sat. April 19 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Age 4-5 $7 Our little artists will select from a variety of imaginative pieces to assemble their own original bunny just in time for Easter.
Repousse Mask on Stand Sat. April 19 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Age 6-8 $12 Using simple tools our students will design a highly patterned, colorful mask from a thin sheet of metal.
Layered Landscape Th. April 24 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. Age 6-8 $12 These simple paper landscapes will be assembled using painted papers, paint and yarn in the style of the colorful arpilleras from South America.
Creative Architecture Tues. April 29 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. Age 9-12 $15 Starting with a simple base our artists will select from piles of interesting materials to design their own piece of architecture.
Bird in Nest Sat. May 3 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Age 4-5 $7 Using simple art skills our students will create a colorful art piece of a bird sitting comfortably in a cozy nest.
Paint Tube Color Study Sat. May 3 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Age 9-12 $15 Simple drawing techniques combined with beautiful watercolors will be used to create this bright color study.
Wire Human Sculpture Tues. May 6 & 13 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Age 9-12 $18 Starting with a basic wire structure our student sculptors will form their person and cover it with paper mache. When dry the pieces will be painted, wrapped in fabric, accented with yarn and colorful wire.
Glorious Peacock Th. May 8 3:45 - 5:00 p.m. Age 6-8 $12 A bit of symmetry, curvy lines and vivid colors will be used to make this stunning peacock.
