Clay Turtle Sat., June 11 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ages 4-5 $7 In this class students will learn basic clay building skills and vocabulary as they create a textured turtle.
Clay Slab Face Sat., June 11 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Ages 9-12 $7 Students in this class will use slab building techniques and bright colors to create a face based on the work of artist Kimmy Cantrell.
Aerial Landscape In Clay Tues., June 14 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $7 Imagine being a bird flying over a beach, a field, a town. Students will construct their own bird’s eye view landscapes from clay.
Lion Clay Slab Tues., July 12 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ages 4-5 $7 Using basic clay building skills students will construct a lion face on a slab of clay. They will enjoy using a garlic press to create the lion’s mane.
Clay Paintbrush Construction Tues., July 12 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $7 In this class students will use clay techniques to form a colorful paintbrush. This piece will be perfect to hang on a wall as inspiration.
Clay Turtle Box Tues., July 12 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Ages 9-12 $7 In this class students will use a variety of clay building techniques to form a turtle box with the shell as the cover then glaze with a variety of bold colors.
Clay Castle Thurs., July 21 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $7 Imagine being a bird flying over a beach, a field, a town. Students will construct their own bird’s eye view landscapes from clay.
Textured Clay Owl Tues., August 2 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Ages 4-5 $7 Starting with a simple pinch pot students will continue building an owl using their fingers and interesting tools to add special details.
