Mola Art Tuesday, February 18 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Ages 9 - 15 $12.00 In this class students will learn about the decorative textiles of Panama and then design their interpretation of this art form using a combination of bright markers and colorful papers.
Still Life with Oranges Thursday, February 20 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $12.00 In this class students will use paint to create a still life with highlights and shadows. Learn about artist Paul Cezanne.
Birch Trees with Cardinal Saturday, February 22 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Ages 4-5 $7.00 Using basic painting and cutting skills our young artists will create a delightful piece based on the art of Charley Harper.
Clay Tile ala Claude Monet Saturday, February 22 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $12.00 In this sculpture class students will learn about the seaside work of French artist Claude Monet. Each student will form a clay tile based on his work.
Mountain Sunset Tuesday, February 25 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Ages 6-8 $12.00 This lesson is a sweet combination of color theory, landscape and gradating paint colors. Students will cut, tear and glue down their paper in a mosaic fashion. Finished project is matted.
Pattern Covered Giraffe Thursday, February 27 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Ages 9 - 15 $12.00 Students will use extreme patterns and watercolor to design a creative giraffe. So fun!
Just Holding On - Clay Rabbit Bowl Saturday, March 1 & 8 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Ages 9 - 15 $15.00 Students in this class will use clay building techniques to form a bowl with a guest rabbit just hanging on. Sculpt on day one and glaze on day two.
It’s All About Design Thursday, March 6 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Ages 9 - 15 $12.00 Using watercolor, black Sharpie markers, and metallic markers students will create a small but powerful matted design.
Highlight and Shadow Illusions Thursday, March 13 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Ages 9 - 15 $12.00 In this class students will use paint and oil pastels to create an art piece that is an optical illusion.
Amazing Relief Sculpture Tues. & Thurs. March 18 & 20 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Ages 9 - 15 $15.00 In this class students will be introduced to the concept of relief sculptures. They will create an interesting design using junk which will then be covered with silver tape and accented with color. So fun!
