Gumball Machine Painting

The artist Wayne Thiebaud was famous for his paintings of pies, ice cream cones and gumball machines. During this class we will honor his work by painting our own gumball machine.

Jane will guide students through a lake or river water inspired acrylic painting using bold color and textures. Students will each complete an acrylic painting on an 11” x 14” canvas.
Summer Landscape Painting with Jane Stroschin

Gather together with friends and one fabulous artist to paint an acrylic landscape inspired by summer scenery. Students will each complete an acrylic painting on an 11” x 14” canvas.
Statue of Liberty Pop Art Painting

Using Peter Max, a pop artist from the 1970’s, as inspiration students will paint the head of the Statue of Liberty with bright acrylic paint on canvas.
Reverse Portrait Painting

Use a self portrait photograph transferred to a piece of clear acetate to create a colorful layered painting using acrylic paint and printing techniques.
Ice Cream Cone Painting
Tues., June 28 12:30 – 2:00 p.m.
Ages 9-12

Students will use established painting techniques to paint an ice cream cone on canvas with acrylic paint. Artist Wayne Thiebaud will be our inspiration.
