Come and join certified Art Clay instructor, Cristine Grimm, in exploring Art Clay the clay that turns to 99.9% pure silver when fired. Start out small, making earrings or small pendants with basic techniques that can be used anywhere, anytime, without a kiln. Cristine will bring all the tools and tricks necessary to create something you’ll enjoy wearing or adding to your next beading project. Cost includes silver clay, the use of all necessary tools, and a necklace and jump ring for wearing your jewelry out the door.

Etched Metal Bracelets with Casey Bemis

In this class jewelry artist Casey Bemis will guide students through the process of creating a design and then etching it onto a piece of copper or brass. Vacation Photography with Richard Hinton

This two hour class with local photographer Richard Hinton will show you how to prepare for the trip, what to photograph when you are on the trip, and what to do with the photos when you get back home.

Take this opportunity to learn a new skill – wheel thrown pottery. In this class students will learn the basics of wheel throwing including centering, opening, pulling wall of even thickness and basic shaping, trimming and glazing. The goal of this class is to teach the steps necessary so that students can continue working independently after class. Class fee includes 25# of clay per person. Class size is limited to 3 people.

Matting and Framing Workshop

Ages 16-Adult

Learn the art of mat cutting for your own use or to prepare a gift for a special person. In this workshop you will learn about mat selection, how to properly measure, cut and mount your work, and assemble your frame. Each participant should bring an 8”x10” piece of art or photograph (slightly smaller is fine) to frame. On the first day we will discuss materials, equipment, and mat selection. The second day we will cut mats and assemble frames. Some materials provided.

Fashion Beading with Julie Prins

A ladies night out opportunity!! In this class participants will learn to use basic jewelry making tools and findings while designing their own matching set of necklace and earrings. Julie will skillfully guide you in exploring the endless combinations of interesting and colorful beads as you create your own unique fashion statement.

Needle Felted Landscape or Still Life with Judy Grant

Come and explore the art of needle felting with instructor Judy Grant. In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting using layers of rich wool roving colors. Each person will be given a choice of an 8”x10” floral landscape with poppies or flowers in a vase still life. After completing your design you will add interest using beads and creative stitching. Bring a lunch. No prior experience is necessary to thoroughly enjoy this class. Class size limited. Please specify either still life with vase or floral landscape when registering for this class.

Dyed Infinity Silk Scarves with Kay Brennan

Create your own signature style by designing your own infinity scarves. This style of scarf is a giant loop of silk that can be layered and draped around the neck. Choose from a variety of rich colors that coordinate with your wardrobe. Each participant will design two scarves. They will be dyed in class and then washed at home. Call a friend and take this class together.
