Clay Tile Mold Making Class

Age 16 – Adult $55 ($50 Members)
Students will lean how to make multiple tiles by learning basic mold making. Students will create a 4×4” master tile, then make a plaster mold and reproduce tile ready for firing and glazing.

Learn to center, open, raise walls and shape a wheel thrown form. Practice is encouraged during open studio hours in between classes. Students will glaze their work on the last day of class.

Create a garden bell and adorn it with characteristics of your favorite animal! Use texture tools, along with slab and pinch techniques. Fired bells will be washed with an iron oxide glaze.

In this class students will be introduced to the concept of relief sculptures. They will create an interesting design using junk which will then be covered with silver tape and accented with color. So fun!
