Participants will learn about glass fusing using a black grouted mosaic technique to create a bold floral 4 x 6 panel to hang or frame! This fun glass class is taught by local artist Barb Wagenmaker, and is great for beginner and intermediate alike!

This program will be broken down into four days of learning.
Day 1 learn about stained glass patterns, how to find them, use them and create them. Learn about glass selection and how to best use your materials.
Day 2 is all about cutting! Learn to accurately cut a variety of glass using a variety of class cutters and grinders. You’ll be cutting out your glass pattern traced out on Day 1.
Day 3 is about finish fitting, and taping. Fine tune your fits using grinding and pinning, laid over your pattern, then get ready to tape!
Day 4 – finish taping, then learn to solder! Soldering is an art form of its own! Finally, add a patina, and polish up your stained glass with wax to show it off! Avg. 80 sq. inches.

Use stringers, frit, glass drops, glass paint and COE 96 fusible glass and choose from two of four flower patterns to get a start. Lindsay will walk you through each step in the process explaining the tools and materials for glass fusing!
Pre-registration is required, we are limited to 5 people total and all participants are required to wear a mask over both mouth and nose.

Using the season of your choice, create a beautiful fused glass birch tree panel using layers of COE 96 glass, glass paints, stringers, frit, and baubles. Each part of the fused
glass panel will be demonstrated layer by layer. Proper use of glass cutters, breaking pliers, nippers and other glassworkers tools will be taught also. All materials pro- vided. Pick up the following week.

Learn about different types of glass for fusing, correctly use tools for cutting glass, add frit, stingers and dots for layering and adding detail, all to create a beautiful fused glass nativity ornament. Class is taught with a step by step pattern, individualized with color and texture choices. One ornament per person, all materials provided. Pieces will be fired by NCCA-Artsplace staff and can be picked up on or after November 16.

glass suncatcher/wind chime. In this class Linda will
give instruction in cutting glass, and creatively layering
colors in preparation for the fusing process. The
second week will be spent assembling the fused pieces
into a unique art piece using wire and beads. Are you
