Learn to use colored frit, paint, findings and epoxy to create a brilliant pendant in silver tray bail.

 

Wednesday, June 16

Clay Reptiles

Participants will hand build reptiles with stoneware clay, using textures, slip and more. Student will choose from 3 different high fire glaze colors to have their reptiles finished. Pick up fired projects on or after June 30.

Stained Glass Silhouette
Trace your favorite design onto copper foil, then use precision cutting, and soldering to create a stunning silhouette on fine art glass.

 

 

Wednesday, July 7
Pyrography!
Students transfer unique designs to raw edge wood slices. Using a variety of different hot tips, students will burn texture and depth into their images. Pyrography is a fun and diverse skill used in many woodworking artforms.

 

 

Wednesday, July 21
Watercolor Silhouette Painting
Using techniques of salt, resist, bleed, and wash, students will work from their favorite silhouette to create a dynamic watercolor painting.

 

 

Wednesday, Aug 4
Glass Bead Making
Using Italian glass rods and hot head torches, students will create several unique glass beads.

Spring is finally the time to explore a beautiful art form. Come and join experienced instructor Deb Emerick and transform an old window into a colorful mosaic design using stained glass and other materials. Deb will guide you through the process of designing your window and then implementing your design using glass cutting and mosaic skills. Bring a friend or family member and work on a window together. You may stop in and select a window before class begins. Materials provided.

Fused glass is a fun art form that anyone can enjoy. These bright ornaments will be a hit for the holidays. Instruction focuses on proper use of tools, layering fusible glass and using fun designs to create up to three ornaments. Hot cocoa bar provided, feel free to bring snacks!

November 14 Fused Glass Ornaments
Using glass cutting tools, frit, stringers and a wide variety
of fusible glass, students will make two of their own unique
ornaments to be fired in the kiln.

How much do you love your pet? We are excited to offer this new art experience. In this class you will learn glass cutting and nipping techniques to capture your pet’s facial likeness in mosaic glass on a 6” x 6” clear glass base. We would appreciate having your pet’s photo at least a day before the class begins so we can prepare it for transfer.

Explore the beauty of stained glass mosaics with artist, Tracy Kehr. Each student will be instructed in glass cutting techniques and guided in their design. The glass pieces will be mounted on a circle of wood surrounding an 8” mirror. The finished mosaics will be grouted. Be prepared to love this vibrant art piece.
