Basic Fashion Beading

In this class participants will learn to use basic jewelry making tools and findings while designing their own matching set of necklace and earrings. Julie will skillfully guide you in exploring the endless combinations of interesting and colorful beads as you create your own unique fashion statement. Equipped with these new skills students will be able to continue creating pieces at home. Call a few friends and take this class together.

Jewelers Bench: Stunning in Silver with Cristine Grimm

Two different opportunities for you to create a piece of jewelry for yourself or make a unique gift, it’s never too early to think Christmas! Choose which date works in your schedule and then come and join us in exploring Art Clay, the clay that turns to 99.9% pure silver when fired. We’ll make earrings or a small pendant using basic techniques that can be done anywhere, anytime, without a kiln. Cristine Grimm, a certified Art Clay instructor, will bring all the tools and tricks necessary to create something you’ll enjoy wearing or adding to your next beading project. Class fee includes 1 packet of silver clay and the use of all necessary tools.

Bracelet Etching with Casey Bemis

Join jewelry artist Casey Bemis in the art of metalsmithing.  In this class Casey will guide students through the process of creating a design and then etching it onto a piece of copper or brass. The class will return the second session to clean, shape and add patina to their piece.  Take advantage of this opportunity to experience a new jewelry making technique.  Stop in the and check out some of Casey’s own pieces in the NCCA-Artsplace Artist Market.
