Block, collagraph, monotype…all different forms of printmaking you can learn about in an afternoon and continue on at home! Materials for printmaking can be found anywhere, the creativity is what you need to add!

Celebrate Easter and spring with this colorful table runner. Pick from a variety of fabric to create a one-of-a kind table decoration. Each participant will get familiar with a sewing machine, several sewing techniques and terminology in this introductory class. All materials are provided. Class size limited.

This is a class for the girl who enjoys exploring art techniques and materials in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We will start with a healthy snack and then begin creating. Mrs. V. is always searching for new, challenging ideas, so even if you’ve participated before, there will be plenty of new projects! Class size is limited.

Join us for a special vacation series of “make and take” art experiences. Each day will be a project based on another culture which happens to be the theme for the upcoming 2017 NCCA-Artsplace Youth Arts Month Competition for grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Create your masterpieces and then enter them into the competition by Thursday, February 16. All ages are welcome; children under 5 should be accompanied by an adult.

Sewing for Kids with Laurie Breza: Star Pillow

In this class students will learn basic sewing skills including the use of a sewing machine. This charming pillow project is a great introduction to sewing. Class size limited to 4.

Enjoy a family evening at the NCCA-Artsplace. We will have the clay, the instructor, the glazes and the tools. You bring the family. Learn basic handbuilding techniques and then have fun building a variety of pieces. Finished pieces will be available for pick up after December 19.

Spring Break Sewing- Restyled 18″ Doll Clothes with Laurie Breza

Class Fee: $30 ($25 Members)

Ages 9+

Create a whole new wardrobe for your 18” doll! Design and sew your own doll clothing using mis-matched socks, out-grown leggings and jeans, and even old sweaters. Check your closets and drawers for items you no longer use and see what the fashion designer in you can create!! Don’t forget to bring your doll and some clothes to re-purpose.

Kick back and relax in pajama pants you made yourself.
In this easy sewing class, you will learn how to pin and
cut a pattern, read and follow pattern instructions, sew an
elastic casing, stitch a hem, use the sewing machine and
serger. Sewing machines will be provided. Students will
have to purchase fabric and notions before the first class.
Class limit of 3 students. Bring a lunch.
