Create a collage of symbols words and images that literally paint a self portrait and then trace your silhouette to be cut out and mounted on mat board. This is a mixed media class.
Flex-Tangle

This fun artistic and mathematic class teaches you to be Zen while tangling ink designs into a flexigon. A flat piece of paper will be transformed by zentangle designs and geometry into a 3D masterpiece!
Clay Turtle Box (2nd Session Offering)

In this class students will use a variety of clay building techniques to form a turtle box with the shell as the cover then glaze with a variety of bold colors.

Leaping lizards! Express yourself with paint on paper and then cut and learn to shape your fine art papers into 3D lizards.

Imagine being a bird flying over a beach, a field, a town. Students will construct their own bird’s eye view landscapes from clay.
Statue of Liberty Pop Art Painting

Using Peter Max, a pop artist from the 1970’s, as inspiration students will paint the head of the Statue of Liberty with bright acrylic paint on canvas.
Reverse Portrait Painting

Use a self portrait photograph transferred to a piece of clear acetate to create a colorful layered painting using acrylic paint and printing techniques.
Clay Musical Rattle
Tues., August 2 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Ages 9-12

Students will use clay techniques to create a rattle filled with tiny balls of clay that will make a rhythmic sound when shaken. Brightly glazed and kiln fired. Very artsy!
