Set aside some time during your vacation for some creative experiences at the NCCA-Artsplace. These classes will give instruction in design and techniques while exploring a variety of art materials.

Join us for a special vacation series of “make and take” art experiences. Each day will be a project based on another culture which happens to be the theme for the upcoming 2017 NCCA-Artsplace Youth Arts Month Competition for grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Create your masterpieces and then enter them into the competition by Thursday, February 16. All ages are welcome; children under 5 should be accompanied by an adult.

In this class students will be introduced to basic sewing skills such as cutting and piecing fabric, and also using a sewing machine while creating a Christmas stocking for that favorite cat, dog or even a fish. Class size limited to 4.

Another great summer sewing experience! Learn basic

If you love to draw, this is the class for you! Sharpen your skills and learn some new techniques while working in a variety of mediums including graphite, charcoal, ink and pastel. Discover the tricks of perspective, how to capture light and shadow, make contour line drawings and how to add texture to your drawings.
