Batik with Dena De Kryger-Mathew

Batik uses wax and water-based dye to create patterns, layers of color, and images on fabric. In this class, we will explore the radial patterns of flowers as we create batik pieces that are the perfect size for quilting, throw pillows, or wall hangings. Dive into the details of nature to create your very own batik piece! Perfect size for a quilt square or a pillow top!
Lake-scape Acrylic Painting with Jane Stroschin

Jane Stroschin will guide you through painting an acrylic canvas of a beautiful inland lake scene, reminiscent of the horizons over Fremont, Emerald or Hess lakes.

Use bold watercolor washes, clean black silhouettes, and a spray of stars to create this stunning northern lights watercolor painting.
Enjoy painting beautiful pastoral scenes in acrylics with artist Jane Stroschin. All materials provided.
Learn the basics or refresh your skills! Students will be guided through several watercolor painting techniques to combine into a stunning botanical motif.

Learn to use colored frit, paint, findings and epoxy to create a brilliant pendant in silver tray bail.

Clay Reptiles
Participants will hand build reptiles with stoneware clay, using textures, slip and more. Student will choose from 3 different high fire glaze colors to have their reptiles finished. Pick up fired projects on or after June 30.

Stained Glass Silhouette
Trace your favorite design onto copper foil, then use precision cutting, and soldering to create a stunning silhouette on fine art glass.
Wednesday, July 7
Pyrography!
Students transfer unique designs to raw edge wood slices. Using a variety of different hot tips, students will burn texture and depth into their images. Pyrography is a fun and diverse skill used in many woodworking artforms.

Watercolor Silhouette Painting
Using techniques of salt, resist, bleed, and wash, students will work from their favorite silhouette to create a dynamic watercolor painting.

Glass Bead Making
Using Italian glass rods and hot head torches, students will create several unique glass beads.
Come and spend a delightful and creative evening with local artist Jane Stroschin. In this class students will use a combination of abstract textural and realistic acrylic painting techniques to create their own version of a spring landscape on a 16” x 20” canvas. Both experienced and beginning students will enjoy this class
